Lower Calf Creek Falls Hike
Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Utah
Southern Utah is famous for its many rock formations, but don't miss the spectacular waterfall that tumbles 126 feet (38 meters) over a sandstone cliff. Lower Calf Creek Falls in Utah's Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument is a refreshing addition to the area's stunning landscape.
The Lower Calf Creek Falls Trail begins at the Calf Creek Recreation Area off of UT-12 in between Escalante and Boulder. The out-and-back hike is 6.0 miles (9.7 kilometers) round trip with an elevation gain of approximately 500 feet (152 meters). A trail map and interpretive information are here.
