Here is a photo of the President, a 3,200-year-old giant sequoia in California's Sequoia National Park.

The President is the second largest tree behind the General Sherman.  It is 247 feet (75 meters) tall, and its diameter at the base is 27 feet (8 meters).

This photo, which appears in the book Go Outside and Come Back Better, was taken from the Congress Trail in the Giant Forest.
