Independence Pass Trail
Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, Washington
In honor of the anniversary of the eruption of Washington's Mount St. Helens on May 18, 1980, here are nine photos from my August 2006 hike of the Independence Pass Trail in Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument. This excellent trail is approximately 8 miles (13 kilometers) north of the crater.
