Here are seven photos from the Tolmie Peak Trail in Washington's Mount Rainier National Park.

On a clear day, this hike delivers outstanding views of Mount Rainier, which is 9 miles (14 kilometers) away.

Note that the Mowich Lake Road, which leads to the trailhead, is unpaved for the last 15+ miles. It may be suitable for a passenger car when it's in good condition. Check the road condition before venturing out.
