Knife Shop Falls

Humaston Brook State Park, Connecticut

Here are four photos of Knife Shop Falls in Humaston Brook State Park in Litchfield, Connecticut.

A short trail leads from Knife Shop Road, approximately here, down to the waterfalls. Beware of poison ivy around the trail.

The upper falls is 12 feet (4 meters) high, and it appears to be the most attractive of the waterfalls, offering several different vanatage points. The middle falls, 15 feet (5 meters) high, is easily visible from above. I did not attempt to find a lower viewpoint or visit the smaller lower falls, which didn't look appealing in the one photo I had seen of it.

These photos were take on July 26 after substatial rainfall.
